FAQ’s
- Why use mulch? A top layer of mulch is an ideal way to retain moisture, suppress weeds, encourage earth-worm activity, and moderate soil temperature.
- Is the Bark Mulch Treated? No – the only thing added is organic dye in the color enhanced bark.
- Will bark attract insects? Trees have bark as a protective layer. Only a few beetles like bark. Termites & Carpenter ants want solid wood. If you have ants they are already there. The best answer is chemical warfare.
- Is one color better than another? No – when applied properly all colors will do the same job.
- How much bark do I need? 2″ coverage over existing beds. 3″ to 4″ in new construction. Use the coverage chart to calculate volume. How big is a yard? 3′x3′x3′ = 27 cubic ft of material.
- How much will fit in my truck? A small pick-up truck will hold 1 to 1.5 yds. A full sized pick-up will hold 2 to 3 yds.
- How much in a truckload? Bark is sold by the cubic yard. Do you deliver? Yes – call to confirm delivery area and cost of delivery.

- What are your hours? From April 1st to Mid Oct we are open 7 days a week. After that, 6 days Mon-Sat, until late fall.
- What type of pavers & wall systems do you have? We stock or can order a full line of Belgard Pavers, Allan Block Retaing Walls and Techo-Bloc Products.
- Where does the mulch come from? Our mulch comes from Canada and Maine
